What schools did you apply to?

UT-Austin, University of Houston, Sewanee, and I started an application to Texas State.

What’s your current dream school?

UT-Austin, but I haven’t heard back.

What was the process of applying to schools like?

Because of my FAFSA, I know I’m not going to get a lot of federal aid. I need to look into schools that I can pay with loans. I’m looking for merit-based scholarships and seeing if I can come up with the money to pay for schools. I decided not to apply to a lot of schools up  north because they were too expensive.

Any big news yet?

I got into University of Houston last semester.

I still really like Vanderbilt. I went to two fly-ins: Whitman and Connecticut College, and I fell in love with Whitman.

What was the process of applying to schools like?

It was stressful, and I’m superstitious. I had eleven schools on my list, and I didn’t like that number. I needed twelve, so my counselors found another school for me to apply to.
