Six YES Prep students (Yassmin Ceballos, Citlaly Chavez, Kennedy Bonds, Jazmin Chicas, Janet Ulloa and Jesselyn Arenas) will be heading to Texas A&M this summer to participate in a free one-week residential STEM camp. The Aggie STEM Summer Camps (ASSC) give students real world experiences in STEM education through inquiry learning and provide a world-class university experience with Texas A&M University professors in STEM fields.
Students will attend a variety of non-credit STEM classes: Construction Engineering, Circuit Design, Media Marketing, Chemistry of Cosmetics, Computer Science, Application Design, ACT/SAT Principles, Physics Show and/or Chemistry Show, and a variety of social activities and local field trips.
Special thanks to Dr. Hubert and Dr. Vela for providing this opportunity to and non-Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) students.
